Frequently Asked Questions

We know every dog, and every owner, is different. This section covers common questions about our services, care standards, and how we work. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, get in touch and our team will be happy to help you find the right support for you and your dog.

What types of dog service businesses does The Doggo Group acquire?

We acquire established dog service businesses such as training, walking, daycare, grooming, boarding, and related services, with a strong focus on quality operations, local reputation, and long-term potential.

London and the South East are our main focus, but we also consider UK-wide businesses that are well-run, staff-supported, and operationally independent.

We typically look for businesses with around £100,000+ in annual turnover, healthy margins, and clear opportunities for improvement or growth.

Wherever possible, our intention is to retain and support existing teams, as staff are often central to a business’s success.

Not as a default. We usually preserve the existing brand and customer-facing identity while improving systems and structure behind the scenes.

This depends on your preference. Some owners exit fully, while others stay on briefly to support a smooth transition.

Most acquisitions take between a few weeks and a few months, depending on complexity and readiness.

We take a fair, pragmatic approach based on financial performance, operations, reputation, and realistic growth potential.

We are long-term owners focused on building sustainable businesses, not flipping them for short-term gains.

We are operator-led, dog-first, and legacy-focused, with an emphasis on long-term improvement rather than aggressive cost-cutting.
